Connecticut Medical Marijuana Renewal
Renewing your Connecticut medical cannabis certification follows the same physician-led telemedicine process as a first-time certification: online intake, a telemedicine evaluation, and certification if clinically appropriate.
Start Your Renewal IntakeHow renewal works
There's no separate "renewal-only" form — you complete the same intake, select "Renewal" as your status, and schedule a telemedicine visit. If certification is still clinically appropriate, the physician enters your renewed certification into the state's online system, and Connecticut emails you to complete registration.
Qualifying conditions still apply
Connecticut ties certification to its published qualifying condition list — see the Connecticut DCP's official qualifying conditions page for the current list.
Certification terms
Connecticut certifications can be issued for 1 year, 18 months, or 2 years. Choosing the 2-year option at renewal means one less visit to schedule down the road.
