Medical Marijuana Card for Long Island Patients
Many Long Island patients are eligible.
BuddMD serves patients throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. Because certification is handled entirely through telemedicine, there's no need to drive into the city or find a clinic closer to home — your intake, evaluation, and certification all happen remotely, wherever you are on Long Island.
Start Your IntakeServing Nassau and Suffolk counties
New York has no fixed list of qualifying conditions — a certified healthcare provider may certify a patient when the provider determines that medical cannabis may be clinically appropriate. That standard is the same across Nassau and Suffolk counties as it is anywhere else in New York, and BuddMD's telemedicine process means distance from Manhattan or Brooklyn doesn't matter.
Where your certification applies
Once certified, you're automatically registered with the New York Medical Cannabis Program — there's no physical card. Your registry ID is accepted at any licensed New York dispensary, including those across Long Island.
Certification terms
New York certifications may run for up to two years (per New York State Senate Bill S3294A, signed November 2025, effective approximately February 2026). BuddMD offers 1-year ($119) and 2-year ($219) certifications.
