Since 2022, New York has no fixed list of qualifying conditions — a certified healthcare provider may certify a patient when the provider determines that medical cannabis may be clinically appropriate. BuddMD provides this evaluation through a physician-led telemedicine process: online intake, a telemedicine evaluation, and certification if clinically appropriate.
No card, no state fee
There is no state registration fee and no physical card to carry. Your certification contains a registry ID that you use directly at dispensaries.
Certification terms
New York certifications may run for up to two years (per New York State Senate Bill S3294A, signed November 2025, effective approximately February 2026). BuddMD offers 1-year ($119) and 2-year ($219) certifications.
